| The
Auto Charge 10 is designed specifically for those who demand the ultimate
in an automatic battery charging system. Built in modular fashion
so that it can be configured for applications with as few as 3 vehicles
or as many as 10 vehicles, the Auto Charge 10 permits monitoring of
the voltage of all the vehicles from one central location. Individual
charge indicators on each module indicate the current flowing to each
vehicle.
|
| Central
charging systems often have difficulty with different line lengths
between the charger and the vehicle. Thus, the battery in the remote
vehicle does not receive sufficient charge. The Auto Charge 10 charges
all batteries precisely and equally, regardless of line length. Each
module in the charger is an individual charger control dedicated to
one vehicle. Each module is connected to the vehicle it charges by
4 wires. Two wires carry the charging current, the other two sense
the battery voltage. The control circuit in the charging module adjusts
the output voltage to obtain the correct voltage at the battery, thus
compensating for line voltage drops. |
| A
digital voltmeter on the master panel permits an operator to monitor
the voltage of each vehicle. |
| Most
installations of the Auto Charge 10 are made to locate it in a dispatcher's
area or some central location to facilitate monitoring of the voltage
and charging rate of the vehicles. |
