| The
LOAD MANAGER MARK IV is a 10 channel sequencer and load shedding controller
operating 10 vehicle installed relays. Upon closing a MASTER SWITCH
to initiate the sequencing, the 10 outputs are energized sequentially
at approximately 1/2 second intervals and upon shutdown they are deenergized
similarly.
|
| In
addition the LOAD MANAGER MARK IV monitors the vehicles battery
voltage. When electrical loads exceed alternator output, the voltage
drops. This is sensed by the LOAD MANAGER and the outputs are individually
deenergized. |
| A
programming switch permits the installer to limit the sequencing to
either 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or all 10 outputs. Sequencing operation is completely
independent of the load shedding control. The 10 outputs are shed
individually when the system voltage sensed is low. The priority is
completely random so that any output can be programmed to be the first
to be shed. Any other output can be second and so forth. If some critical
loads which the installer determines must never be shed are connected
to the LOAD MANAGER MARK IV, the programming switch may be set to
never shed those loads. |
| An
indicator is included to signal when the LOAD MANAGER MARK IV is active
and when it is in the LOAD REDUCE mode. |
| Note:
The LOAD MANAGER MARK IV operates external relays which are provided
by the installer. The relays are energized by having the MARK IV connect
them to ground. The minimum coil resistance is 40 ohms.
